As the eldest of three siblings, Claribel naturally assumed a leadership role, guiding and supporting her younger brother and sister.
Her path to a career in law enforcement wasn’t a predetermined one; in her youth, she lacked clear direction for her future. However, two law enforcement programs during high school and a tragedy to her aunt proved transformative, illuminating a career path she had lost motivation for. This experience, coupled with her academic achievements—including graduation from a Chicago community college and the Police Academy in Champaign, Illinois—laid the foundation for her current success.
